Marek Tufman is the founder and principal lawyer of Tufman & Associates. He has appeared extensively before all trial and appellate levels of Ontario Courts, Federal Court of Canada, Supreme Court of Canada, and various administrative tribunals; he has also appeared at trials before a number of U.S. Courts (Federal and District). Mr. Tufman began his legal career in 1969 when he earned his M. Jur. Degree from the University of Lodz. He was awarded his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1977, after having taught law school for several years. Throughout his professional, career Mr. Tufman has earned three LL.M. degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School, in the areas of Jurisprudence and Criminal Law, Business Law, and Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Mr. Tufman also holds a certificate in dispute resolution from York University and is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation.
With the Consent of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Canada, Mr. Tufman was awarded a major Polish State Honour, The Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. He has been awarded the Voluntary Service Award of Ontario, as well as the 90th Anniversary Medal of the Polish Alliance of Canada. On four separate occasions, Mr. Tufman has been selected as the “Top GTA Lawyer” through a survey conducted by the Top Choice Awards.
